Netflix has just unveiled the first look poster for its upcoming film, ‘The School For Good And Evil’. The poster for the Netflix Original film features actresses Charlize Theron, Kerry Washington, Sofia Wylie and Sophia Anne Caruso, posing in all the finery befitting the fantasy characters they play in it. Fantasy drama film ‘The School For Good And Evil’ premieres on Netflix worldwide on October 21.
The School for Good and Evil is adapted from the best-selling young adult novel series of the same name, written by Soman Chainani, a writer of Indian descent. The film is centred on best friends Sophie and Agatha, who are kidnapped and taken to the titular School for Good and Evil, where ordinary boys and girls are trained to be fairy tale heroes and villains. With her princess ambitions, Sophie knows she’ll be picked for the School for Good and join the ranks of past students like Cinderella and Snow White. Meanwhile, Agatha, with her grim aesthetic and wicked cat, seems a natural fit for the villains in the School for Evil.
But the girls find their fortunes reversed. Sophie is dropped into the School for Evil, while Agatha is sent to the School for Good. The mistake is the first clue to discovering who Sophie and Agatha really are. As they struggle to make sense of their situations, they must find a way to get back home. But the reality puts their friendship to the test like never before.
The School For Good And Evil is directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, Ghostbusters, A Simple Favor), from a screenplay by David Magee (Life Of Pi) and Vanessa Taylor. It stars Sophia Anne Caruso as Sophie, and Sofia Wylie as Agatha. Charlize Theron plays School of Evil’s Lady Lesso, while Kerry Washington plays the School of Good’s Professor Dovey. Cate Blanchett features as the narrator of the movie. Michelle Yeoh, Laurence Fishbourne, Kit Young, Rachel Bloom, Peter Serafinowicz, Mark Heap and Patti LuPone make up the rest of the cast.
