Netflix’s The Witcher Creator Promises Season 3 Will Be “Huge”

The sophomore season of Netflix’s The Witcher won the hearts of its fans and critics after its grand premiere on December 17 last year. Viewers considered it as a major improvement over the scattered first season. However, Season 1 performed big in terms of viewership. It ranked third on the list of most “in-demand” series in the US. Stranger Things and The Mandalorian grabbed the first two positions.

The grand success of the first two entries of The Witcher lured Netflix to give green light to its third season before even Season 2’s release on the streaming platform. Now, series creator Lauren S. Hissrich has promised to deliver a “huge” third instalment to the fans.

A fan asked Hissrich on Twitter about the budget of Season 3. The show’s creator somehow grabbed the opportunity to declare that the upcoming season will be “huge”. It seems like the makers are ready to go big this time.

This tease by Hissrich confirms that Season 3 may become the most ambitious Witcher entry ever. Apart from the third entry, The Witcher: Blood Origin will also come out this year, serving as a prequel series to the original one.

Both seasons of The Witcher are currently streaming on Netflix. However, the makers have not revealed the release date for Season 3 yet. Stay tuned for more updates.
