The name justifies the cast; it is definitely too much, as the Netflix show managed to assemble a cast which is more star-studded than The Avengers. But will this series deliver? That remains a question.
In previous updates, some names were already confirmed. Megan Stalter and Will Sharpe will lead the cast, but recent events add some more names to the list.
Richard E. Grant, Stephen Fry, Janicza Bravo, Michael Zegen, Rhea Perlman, Rita Wilson, Leo Reich, Adele Exarchopoulos, Adwoa Aboah, Daisy Bevan, Dean-Charles Chapman, Kaori Momoi, and Prasanna Puwanarajah are part of the cast. Besides that, Emily Ratajkowski is also set to join the series.
Talking about the official description of the show, it follows Jessica, a New York workaholic in her mid-thirties, seeking solace in London after a heartbreak.
There, she encounters Felix, whose problematic nature complicates her quest for solitude. Their connection challenges cultural differences, raising the question: do Americans and Brits truly understand each other?
Netflix has invested in 10 episodes of the half-hour comedy “Too Much,” co-created by Lena Dunham and husband Luis Felber. Dunham serves as writer, executive producer, and director, while Felber is also an executive producer. The series is a joint production between Universal International Studios and Dunham’s Good Thing Going banner.
Now, comedy is definitely a sensible market, and Netflix has failed massively when it comes to cracking it. But there comes a question: will they be able to crack the market? That remains a big question, as the show definitely has to check the spices and make it spot on.
