Netflix has dropped the official trailer of ‘Ultraman: Rising’, a forthcoming animated superhero movie based on Tsuburaya Productions’ Ultraman. The latest clip shows Ken Sato trying hard to step into his father’s shoes as the titular superhero. However, we see him constantly struggling with his powers. His life takes a dramatic turn after he adopts a baby kaiju.
Ken Sato is a popular baseball player who decides to take on the mantle of Ultraman after his father to stop the rising number of kaiju attacks in Tokyo. Apart from proving himself as a superhero, he also tries to prove himself as a parent by trying to raise a baby kaiju. We also see Dr. Onda trying to capture the baby kaiju at every cost in the latest trailer, forcing Ken to protect the child.
Ultraman: Rising is a Japanese-American production from Tsuburaya Productions and Netflix Animation. Shannon Tindle has helmed the upcoming animated superhero project. In addition, he co-wrote the film’s script with Marc Haimes. The film’s voice cast consists of talents like Christopher Sean (Ken Sato, aka Ultraman), Gedde Watanabe (Professor Sato), Tamlyn Tomita (Emiko), Keone Young (Dr. Onda), and Julia Harriman (Ami).
