Netflix’s long-running series ‘Virgin River’ is one of the most popular shows on the platform. Fans of the show were a tad disappointed with the recently-released Virgin River Season 5, which ended on a dark note. Still, they just can’t wait for any new Virgin River content.
In response to fans demands, Netflix is gearing up to release new episodes of Virgin River. The new episodes of Virgin River will release on Netflix worldwide on 30th November, 2023, just in time for the start of Christmas season.
Interestingly, the new episodes are are not part of any season. Instead, the new Virgin River episodes are part of a ‘Holiday Special’ that Netflix has planned for Virgin River. The Virgin River Holiday Special will consist of two episodes, centred on Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson’s characters of Mel Monroe and Jack Sheridan, respectively.
The Virgin River Holiday Special brims with Christmas cheer, but will also see Mel hunt for her biological father through old letters of her mother’s. Going by the premise, Virgin River Holiday Special should end on a positive note, giving cheer to fans, and amping up excitement for Virgin River Season 6.
