Netflix has dropped the teaser of the highly anticipated upcoming live action adaptation of beloved anime and manga series ‘Yu Yu Hakusho’ and also revealed rest of the cast.
The teaser gave a glimpse into the thrilling world of ‘Yu Yu Hakusho’ and presented to the viewers the iconic characters, including Yusuke, Kurama, Hiei, Kuwabara, in action for the very first time. We also get a glimpse of a dramatic face-off between Team Yusuke and the formidable Toguro brothers and Sakyo, hinting at an impending battle where “strength” and “beliefs” will collide in a clash of epic proportions.
‘Yu Yu Hakusho’ universe has been created using cutting edge technologies from around the world and is a result of a global one team production strategy between US and Japan. The remarkable visual effects were created by the Scanline VFX team, known for their work on numerous Hollywood blockbusters
In addition to the earlier announced Takumi Kitamura, Jun Shison, Kanata Hongo, and Shuhei Uesugi, the rest of the cast includes Sei Shiraishi, Kotone Furukawa, Ai Mikami, Hiroya Shimizu, Keita Machida, Meiko Kaji, Kenichi Takito, Goro Inagaki, and Go Ayano.
Directed by Sho Tsukikawa with a screenplay from Tatsuro Mishima, ‘Yu Yu Hakusho’ is produced by Akira Morii in association with The Seven. ‘Yu Yu Hakusho’ will debut globally on Netflix on 14th December, 2023.
