Acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Basu’s next directorial venture is going to be a biopic based on the life of one of India’s greatest spies. Basu will also produce the film titled ‘The Black Tiger’.
‘The Black Tiger’ will follow the life story of Ravindra Kaushik who is considered to be an Indian spy like none other. Ravindra Kaushik, on whom the film is based, was a RAW agent who spied against Pakistan from 1975 to 1983. Also refer to as ‘The Black Tiger’ he infiltrated the Pakistan Army and reached till the rank of Major.
Other than Anurag Basu, ‘The Black Tiger’ is produced by R Vivek, Asvin Srivatsangam and Divay Dhamija.
As soon as the announcement came out and people saw the original picture of Mr. Kaushik, netizens have been speculating the actor who should play the lead role. And the foremost runner in this race is Ranbir Kapoor, followed by Kartik Aaryan. Other candidates as per digital users include Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn.
Other than ‘The Black Tiger’, Anurag Basu’s upcoming projects include ‘Metro In Dino’, ‘Suriya45’, and ‘Aashiqui 3’.
