Diss tracks have always been a fantastic way of grabbing some eyeballs, and Ak vs Ak has used this trick to create a buzz around one of the most unique concept films from Netflix till date. They have tried things from creating an online Twitter spat to house swaps to taking direct digs at each other to increase the anticipation.
Films have always depended to a large extent on the aura and craze of the main actors involved in the lead roles, but Ak vs Ak takes this to another level which almost diminishes the fine line between what is fiction and what is actually happening.
Anurag Kashyap along with some former members of the AIB have performed a roast, and you can see it on his Instagram profile where he has openly taken digs at Anil Kapoor and his stardom. Anurag Kashyap and Netflix seem like a match made in heaven because both of them are so prone to unique experimental content.
The craze around Ak vs Ak seems to be getting bigger and bigger by the day and it pushes the envelope of what realistic cinema can be, far from some of the unnecessary and cringy songs or dialogues that are used so very often.
Ak vs Ak had also recently got into a controversy with the IAF as they allege that they are shown in a bad light in the film but only after we have seen this unique spectacle can we genuinely decide. Still, one thing is for sure that the anticipation that has been built for this film is top-notch.
