A new trailer for Netflix original film ‘Extraction 2‘ is finally out. The action-packed trailer is everything that Extraction and Chris Hemsworth fans were waiting for. For those who don’t know, ‘Extraction 2’ is the sequel to Netflix’s blockbuster 2020 hit film ‘Extraction’. The film premieres on Netflix worldwide on 16th June, 2023.
Extraction 2 will see Chris Hemsworth reprise his role of Tyler Rake, mercenary for hire, and warrior extraordinaire. Taken for dead at the end of Extraction 1, Tyler Rake miraculously survives the grievous bullet hit, and crawls his way back to being fighting fit. The sequel sees him embark on another perilous life-saving, death-defying rescue mission. He must rescue the family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held.
The Extraction franchise is known for its high-octane action sequences, especially the fast-paced, action-packed one-take shots. The first film in the franchise showcased an exhilarating one-take shot; and there’s another one in Extraction 2 that is certain to top the one in the first film. Even more exciting – Extraction 2 features a “21-minute-long” one-take shot, full of thrilling, high-intensity action.
The Extraction 2 trailer shows off bits of the much-talked-about one-take shot, and we love it already. Most of us simply can’t wait for 16th June to arrive quickly, just so that we can watch the crazy madness that is Extraction 2 in all its glory.
Besides Chris Hemsworth, Golshifteh Farahani and Adam Bessa return in Extraction 2, to reprise their roles from Extraction. Daniel Bernhardt and Tinatin Dalakishvili, among others, are the new additions to the Extraction 2 cast. The film is directed by Sam Hargrave, like the first Extraction film. Joe and Anthony Russo produce Extraction 2, along with Chris Hemsworth.
