New Netflix Rom-Com Series Gets A Release Date!

The big question is: Are rom-coms ever really not ‘in’? It is a no-brainer that amidst the hustle-bustle of everyday life, light-hearted comedies with romantic undertones offer us an ever-wanted respite. Well, right along those lines is American writer Erin Foster’s upcoming comedy series ‘Nobody Wants This’.

Featuring Golden Globe nominee Kristen Bell and SAG nominee Adam Brody in lead roles, the Netflix series is slated to premiere exclusively on the streamer from September 26.

Centered around the unlikely relationship between an outspoken, agnostic woman, Joanne, and an unconventional set-in-his-ways-rabbi, Noah, the show draws inspiration from Foster’s own love story. It follows the duo as they navigate the perils and joys of modern dating.

‘Succession’s Justine Lupe and ‘VEEP’s Timothy Simons also feature alongside the lead actors in the 10-episdoe rom-com. Other recurring actors include Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Jackie Tohn, Sherry Cola and Shiloh Bearman.

Having received numerous accolades for her performance in Netflix’s ‘The Good Place’, Bell also has titles like ‘Frozen’, ‘Veronica Mars’, ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’, and more accredited to her name. Brody on the other hand broke through with his role as Seth Cohen on Fox’s ‘The O.C’. Since then, he has starred in titles like ‘Jennifer’s Body’, ‘Ready or Not’, ‘Gilmore Girls’, and more.
