New Transformers Movie’s Trailer Revives the Franchise’s Hope!

The trailer for the upcoming Transformers movie titled ‘Transformers: Rise of Beasts’ has been released. The 2-minute clip shows some impressive character additions to the franchise. With reactions being mostly positive, fans are hopeful the movie will deliver and give the franchise the push it needs.

While ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ introduced us to Dinobots who are transformers that can transform into massive dinosaurs, the trailer introduces us to other such factions like Maximals, Predacons, & Terrorcons. Maximals and Predacons are the descendants of Autobots and Decepticons and are at war with each other, but unlike them, they can transform into colossal metal animals. The movie is set to explore more about them in the context of the larger war between the Autobots and Decepticons. Terrorcons also to be present in the movie are a group of Decepticons capable of transforming into nightmarish monsters.

Besides our favorite Autobots like Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, one of the characters fans are ecstatic to see in a live-action adaptation is Optimus Primal. The leader of the Maximals, Optimus Primal, can be seen in his transformation into a gorilla and his humanoid form. He can be seen in the trailer coming to Optimus Prime to inform him of the upcoming threat.

‘Transformers: Rise of Beasts’ is also set to delve more into the history of Autobots on Earth. The synopsis of the movie is “In 1994, a pair of archaeologists from Brooklyn come into an ancient conflict through a globe-trotting adventure that ties in with three factions of Transformers: the Maximals, the Predacons, and the Terrorcons.”

Revealing setpieces with a gigantic metal cheetah, rhino, and a fire-breathing eagle, the trailer certainly is high on action. ‘Transformers: Rise of Beasts’ is the seventh movie of the franchise and is to be a spin-off of 2018’s Bumblebee. Directed by Steven Caple Jr. known for helming ‘Creed II’, the movie will have big names like Peter Dinklage( Game of Thrones)Michelle Yeoh(Everything, Everywhere..), and Pete Davidson( The Suicide Squad) in voice-over roles.

The movie is set to release in theatres on June 9, 2023.
