New Update on Netflix! App Won’t Support Downloads

While discussing this new update with someone, the person asked, “Does Netflix have an unofficial partnership with piracy websites?” Well, keeping the conspiracy theory aside, let’s tell you the actual news.

Netflix is ditching its Windows 10 and 11 apps. Instead of that, they are developing a web app that is said to be better in every aspect of streaming. If claims are to be accepted, then the new app would stream better picture quality than the previously active Windows app. But claims are all they are.

However, there is a catch as well. The new app will not support downloading. Earlier, Android, Windows, iOS and MacOS users were able to download content from the Netflix app. But, this new app will not allow any such feature…quite obviously, it is only a web app.

The question arises, why does Netflix even need to take this step? Enhanced streaming quality is not that big of a deal to work on in the existing Windows app. Moreover, why snatch a nice feature from the audience?

This looks like a totally unnecessary downgrade that they are pushing in the name of an update. This is indeed bad for the users but Netflix will do what they wish to.
