Nimona: Netflix Reveals Chloë Grace Moretz Starrer’s Release Window

Netflix’s adaptation of ND Stevenson’s comic book series, Nimona has found its release window. The streaming giant has confirmed that the animated sci-fi adventure comedy will come out in June. Though, the upcoming project is yet to get a fixed release date. The film will premiere at this year’s Annecy Festival in France on June 14. So, we should expect it to arrive on the streaming platform some days after its premiere.

Set in a futuristic, medieval world, Nimona tells the story of the titular character (played by Chloë Grace Moretz), a mischievous shape-shifting creature who loves wreaking havoc everywhere she goes. She insists on being the sidekick of Ballister Blackheart (played by Riz Ahmed). However, things go out of control when Ballister gets falsely accused of a crime. He has to prove his innocence to save himself, and the only person he can fully trust is Nimona.

Helmed by Nick Bruno and Troy Quane, the forthcoming Netflix feature is an epic story about accepting who you are and forging a friendship in the most astonishing scenarios.

Netflix has collaborated with Annapurna Pictures for Nimona, with DNEG Animation handling the animation. The rest of the production companies are Blue Sky Studios, 20th Century Studios, 20th Century Animation, and Vertigo Entertainment. The film’s cast comprises Chloë Grace Moretz, Riz Ahmed, Eugene Lee Yang, Frances Conroy, RuPaul, Lorraine Toussaint, Beck Bennett, Indya Moore, and many more performers. Stay tuned for more updates.
