Nivin Pauly continues to be in the news… For all the right reasons. A couple of weeks ago, it was for his next starring feature ‘Thaaram‘, written by first-time screenwriter, Vivek Ranjith. And a few days back it was for his upcoming Malayalam drama, ‘Mahaveeryar’, which will feature him and Asif Ali in the lead roles. The actor is not letting coronavirus stop him from his work, which is good to see.
‘Mahaveeryar’ wrapped its shoot, a few days back and it seems to be the only thing the Mollywood paparazzi seems to care about. The superstar alongside Asif Ali, who he has worked with for almost 8 years, expressed their gratitude for the wonderful work done by their costars and crew, especially during these difficult times of surging Covid-19 cases. Since only the post-production part is left and knowing what we know about Malayalam movies – we will probably get a release date and a cryptic teaser real soon.
‘Thaaram’ is coming to life after 8 years of perseverance by the aforementioned Vivek Ranjith. Vivek, a much sought-after subtitler in Mollywood is excited to have his first script in the hands of the brilliant director, Vinay Govind and having an actor of Nivin Pauly’s calibre join the cast. The first look poster for the film has dropped already, which features a picture of Nivin in a purple hat and goofy glasses. Hopefully, we get some plot details promptly.
Nivin also has a film dropping in theatres next month – ‘Thuramukham’, which is set in 1940s Kerala. The film talks about the Chappa system of labour allocation in the Kochi Harbour and how the labourers revolted against the backward system. The film will premiere in cinemas on 13th May 2021.
