Wentworth Miller on Sunday came up with earth-shattering news for all the Prison Break Fans. He confirmed on his Instagram account that he is out from Season 6 of the hit TV show Prison Break. The news came out of the blue because for a year actors as well as the fans were very positive regarding the potential sixth season of the show. Fans were hoping to see the brothers Micheal Scofield and Lincoln Burrows back in action one more time but it looks like it might not happen.
But Wentworth distanced himself out from the ongoing discussion of the comeback. He did this by urging people to focus on the upcoming elections. But now the announcement of him being out has shocked everyone including his long-time co-star and onscreen brother – Dominic Purcell.
Wentworth on his Instagram wrote:-
“On a related note… I’m out. Of PB. Officially
Not bec of static on social media (although that has centered the issue). I just don’t want to play straight characters. Their stories have been told (and told).
So. No more Michael. If you were a fan of the show, hoping for additional seasons… I understand this is disappointing. I’m sorry.
If you’re hot and bothered bec you fell in love with a fictional straight man played by a real gay one…
That’s your work. – W.M.”
Here’s His Instagram Post
Apparently, Miller is done playing straight characters as he himself is Gay. He feels that stories of Straight people have been told enough and thus he wants to work on something that shows the stories of LGBTQ community as well. Hence he has cleared the air around the much-awaited comeback.
While his decision is being lauded by many, Dominic Purcell himself commented on his post. He wrote
“It was fun mate. what a ride it was. Fully support and understand your reasoning. Glad you have made this decision for your health and truth. Keeps the posts coming. Love ya brother”.
With this, there goes the last hope of seeing the mastermind Michael Scofield back in action. We don’t see how, this can be turned but let’s keep hoping something will happen. No updates on the future of the show has been made by the officials yet.
