No More Sharing Accounts, Netflix Comes Up With New Affordable Plan

Netflix that launched in India in 2016 is upgrading itself with the rise of competition in OTT platforms. And they are doing this by providing a new rate plan for testing it on the audiences. Their original 3 plans included – Basic, Standard and Premium.

While Netflix offers a 499 rupees plan per month that lets the user stream on any device but only standard definition streaming on 1 device, though a user has the option to upgrade screens.

A while back Netflix introduced a mobile plan of 199 rupees a month with standard streaming definition is the cheapest plan but no computer or TV included.

Now comes the new 349 rupees a month plan being the second cheapest will offer streaming in high definition, 1 device at a time, devices such as phone, computer or tablet but no TV included.

There’s hope this plan will work well, with so many months into the lockdown, there has been a surge in subscription for OTT services. This will be interesting to see how we can easily Netflix anytime with no interruptions from other family members. This plan can be beneficial to younger generations who are adaptable watching more on small screens.

Netflix is still the most expensive streaming service in India but this move might just do wonders for them.
