2 years and still no result on a big Bengali classic movie.
Based on the famous Bengali writer Manik Bandyopadhyay’s novel “Putul Nacher Itikatha”, director Sumon Mukhopadhyaya, is creating an ambitious project.
The story revolves around the rural Bengali backdrop, where the main character is doctor Sashi, who has no faith in God. The novel deals with the complexities of human nature in rural Bengal, Manik Bandyopadhyay focused on the issue of how some humans tend to treat others as mere puppets.
This ambitious project has the potential to become a big break for the Bengali film industry, with the recent release of the movie “Babli” we witnessed how a strong storyline can still engage people to see a good adaptation.
But, this movie is becoming a very long project, as it started shooting in 2022, and yet it hasn’t been released.
Actors like Abir Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Ananya Chatterjee, Jaya Ahsan and Surangana Bandyopadhyay are a part of this beautiful movie.
In 2022 Jaya Ahsan completed fifty percent of the movie and then due to some unavoidable situation the shooting had to stop.
Jaya Ahsan is a crucial part of the movie as she is playing one of the main characters named Kusum.
But, there are high hopes that in 2024 the movie will be released. Although there is no official news regarding this statement till this time.
