Noah Centineo’s ‘The Recruit’ Renewed For S2 At Netflix

Netflix has renewed its recently released spy thriller drama ‘The Recruit’ for a second season. Coming from the creator of ‘The Rookie’ and the director of ‘The Bourne Identity’, ‘The Recruit’ premiered last month on Netflix and was in the top 10 English TV shows list for 5 consecutive weeks.

In Season 1, rookie CIA lawyer Owen finds his first week on the job turned upside down when he discovers a threatening letter from Max — a former asset who plans to expose the agency’s corruption and secrets unless they exonerate her for a serious crime. As if onboarding at a new job isn’t already stressful enough, Owen quickly becomes entangled in a dangerous web of power politics, as he travels the world hoping to complete his chaotic assignment.

Moreover, it was the cliff-hanger ending of season one that left the audience wondering if Russian asset Max (Laura Haddock) is still alive after being shot at close range by her own daughter Karolina (Maddie Hasson) in the dying minutes of the Season 1 finale.

Centineo will reprise his role as Owen, as well as return as executive producer for the show alongside Alexi Hawley as showrunner. Stay tuned to binged.com for further updates on season two of Netflix’s ’The Recruit’.
