Not Able To Find Thunivu In Telugu? It’s Because Of Netflix’s Issue

The biggest and buzziest OTT release right now is Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu. The film is finally streaming on OTT after a glorious run and people are rushing over it the same way they were running to the theaters.

The film is streaming in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu along with the original Tamil. Tamil along with Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam are easy to find and those who wanted to watch it are indeed enjoying the film.

But the Telugu audience of the film is finding it difficult to even search, let alone watch the film.

Why is it so?

It is because of the simple fact that Thunivu was released in Telugu regions by the name of Tegimpu. The film is called Tegimpu in Telugu and it immediately pops up in the search result when you search Tegimpu.

The film was called Thunivu in all other languages it was released in.

Thus this issue is arising. People who are searching for Thunivu are not able to find the film in Telugu and now you know the reason.

But it is indeed a mistake by Netflix. Normally, search results are guided by tags. Maybe Netflix India hasn’t tagged Tegimpu with Thunivu in the backend and this issue is arising.

This is the same mistake that Prime Video made with Mahaan last year. Mahaan was called Mahapurusha in Kannada and it won’t pop up when you search for Mahaan. Unfortunately, Prime Video is known for its crappy search engine.

At least, Netflix doesn’t have an infamous search engine yet and it should make sure that they maintain its reputation.
