Aamir Khan‘s Lal Singh Chaddha is now running in theatres. The reviews are mixed as some people are loving the movie while some are downright rejecting the film.
Meanwhile, another film has suddenly become popular in India and it has all the reasons to become so.
As you may already know, Lal Singh Chaddha is a remake of an epic American film Forrest Gump. It had Tom Hanks in the lead role and is often considered one of the greatest and finest films of all time.
When the trailer of Lal Singh Chaddha came then people were terribly disappointed by the fact that the movie is either frame to frame remake of the original or offers nothing substantial for which one may watch the movie.
But let’s be brutally honest about one fact.
Forrest Gump unlike Marvel movies is not popular amongst the Indian masses. It is a film from the 90s and only hardcore Cinema/Hollywood lovers had watched the film.
But now that Lal Singh Chaddha appears to be one of the most important topics in the country, Forrest Gump is suddenly in the mouth of millions of people.
So, we saw an interesting yet not so strange thing going on on Netflix. The Tom Hanks starrer original film is in the trending section of Netflix.
There is no doubt that Forrest Gump is leaps and bounds better film than Lal Singh Chaddha and people are celebrating it.
So, yes this is yet another challenge for Aamir Khan that they simply forgot to address.
