This Vinayaka Chaturthi will see a number of star-studded releases, from all over. This week saw the Telugu industry work out the release dates of some massive films, so as to avert some huge clashes. Two big Telugu releases, Nithiin‘s ‘Maestro‘ and the Naga Chaitanya-Sai Pallavi starrer ‘Love Story‘, rescheduled their release dates to make way for Nani’s ‘Tuck Jagadish’, releasing on Amazon Prime Video on the 10th of September.
Now the latest is that ‘Tuck Jagadish‘ will instead clash with another Telugu film, which is the Gopichand–Tamannaah Bhatia starrer, ‘Seetimaarr‘, earlier scheduled for a theatrical release on 3rd September. The makers have decided to push the film’s release by a week, so it will now release in theatres on Ganesh Chaturthi. It will also be the only Telugu film in theatres, since the others have all opted for a digital release. ‘Seetimaarr’ is a total mass entertainer, set against the backdrop of the Kabaddi sport. Directed by Sampath Nandi, this sports action drama also features Digangana Suryavanshi, Tarun Arora and Bhoomika Chawla in supporting roles.
The other big theatrical releases scheduled for the Ganesh Chaturthi weekend are Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Laabam’ on 9th September and Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Thalaivii’ on 10th September. Besides these films, Sethupathi’s ‘Tughlaq Durbar’ on Netflix, Santhanam’s ‘Dikkiloona’ and Telugu suspense thriller ‘NET’ on Zee5 are the digital releases lined up for this festive weekend.
