Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming film ‘Shotgun Wedding’ is making a lot of noise on social media. Fans of the actress, and lovers of rom-coms can’t wait to watch the romantic and action comedy film when it begins streaming worldwide on popular streaming platform Prime Video later this month. ‘Shotgun Wedding’ stars Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel in lead roles, along with Sônia Braga, Jennifer Coolidge, Lenny Kravitz, and Cheech Marin playing pivotal characters in the film.
Interestingly, while ‘Shotgun Wedding’ is an Amazon Original film, entertainment giant Lionsgate has international distrubution rights to the film in around 50 countries of the world, most of them in Europe and Asia, including for India. ‘Shotgun Wedding’ will therefore stream in India not on Prime Video India, but on Lionsgate Play, the streaming arm of Lionsgate in India.
‘Shotgun Wedding‘ will premiere on Lionsgate Play in India simultaneously with its premiere on Prime Video, which is on January 27th.
The official synopsis for ‘Shotgun Wedding’ reads – “Darcy (Jennifer Lopez) and Tom (Josh Duhamel) gather their lovable but very opinionated families for the ultimate destination wedding just as the couple begin to get cold feet. And if that wasn’t enough of a threat to the celebration, suddenly everyone’s lives are in danger when the entire party is taken hostage. “Til Death Do Us Part” takes on a whole new meaning in this hilarious, adrenaline-fueled adventure as Darcy and Tom must save their loved ones—if they don’t kill each other first.”
‘Shotgun Wedding’ is written by Mark Hammer, and directed by Jason Moore. The film had a limited theatrical release in Singapore and Indonesia. It will stream on January 27th on Prime Video Internationally, and on Lionsgate Play in India.
