Another weekend has arrived and this time there are a lot of shows and movies which got released in the past week. While many of us don’t get the time to binge the shows right away when they are released, weekend is the only option to stay updated with the continuous arrivals.
But after a week long hustle, what we need is a decent movie or show to watch so that we can take some load off. So here is a list of recently released content which are getting love from the critics as well as the audience to make you enjoy the weekend.
1. Middle Class Melodies – Amazon Prime Video (Telugu Language)
The Anand Deverakonda starrer Middle Class Melodies is a small town romantic comedy drama which does the perfect job with it’s simplicity. The movie has been directed by Vinod Anantoju. Varsha Bollamma, Chaitanya Garikipati also stars.
2. Anaganaga O Athidi – Aha Video (Telugu Language)
Aha Video’s thriller Anaganaga O Athidi has been directed by Dayal Padmanabhan. The movie follows a family who have been struggling financially. They are told by a soothsayer that the family’s fortune is destined to change overnight. Just that night a stranger arrives at their house seeking for shelter and this is where things start to go awry.

3. Mismatched – Netflix (Hindi)
Watching romantic comedies during weekends never go out of fashion and if you’re looking for an Indian show which will make you laugh and feel good then Mismatched on Netflix is your top bet. It stars the youth stars – Rohit Saraf and Prajakta Koli.
4. The Crown Season 4 – Netflix
The most awaited show of the year – The Crown finally released it’s season 4 which was highly anticipated given the history which it was about to showcase. The show has already released and is the talking point of the town. With ample praise continuously coming for the fourth season it’s Gillian Anderson and Emma Corrin’s performances that is the major highlight of the show. Don’t skip it!
5. Bicchho ka Khel – Alt Balaji
The current sensation of Indian web series world, Divyenndu Sharma returns with his ‘Munna Tripathi’ swagger in Alt Balaji’s Bicchho Ka Khel which is a crime comedy. Do watch it for his charming and energetic performance.
6. The Princess Switched 2 : Switched Again – Netflix
Vanessa Hudgens returns in the sequel of her hit movie The Princess Switched which released in 2018. This time the fun is tripled and why do we say that? Well, because Hudgens will be seen playing three roles. While Margaret and Stacy and thinking of switching again so that Margaret could enjoy some more time with Kevin before her coronation, there arrives Margaret’s cousin, Lady Fiona. Lady Fiona herself is thinking of switching with Margaret but without the knowledge of her and Stacy. Will she be successful?
7. A Simple Murder – SonyLIV
The comedy of errors starring Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub and Priya Anand can be a perfect way to pass the weekend. The story follows Manish who is a man with failures on his back. With every work he has tried he hasn’t succeeded. Due to this he doesn’t make enough money to take care of his wife who desparately wants to have some fun time. Due to this, Manish tries to work his way around by doing “assignments” given to him by Pandit for money but eventually gets into a mess with unimaginable consequences.
