Nayanthara’s O2 is going to be an anticipated addition to Disney+Hotstar. When the teaser dropped then it heightened the expectations as it promised a survival thriller where O2 (oxygen) shortage might decide the fate of the characters.
Nayanthara is an extremely popular and talented actress and this is not the kind of film we usually get from the Tamil cinema.
Regardless, Nayanthara plays a mother whose son can’t breathe normally. He needs an oxygen cylinder all the time but there is hope. A few doctors might treat him and she is headed to that.
A bus travelling from Coimbatore to Cochin gets trapped in a disaster (possibly an earthquake). Situations turn in a way that there is an oxygen shortage inside the bus and people inside may be ready to kill each other. But a mother won’t let her child become a victim of that.
Overall, this is a highly promising trailer and the subject looks interesting.
O2 is directed by GS Viknesh and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.
It stars Nayanthara and Ritvick in the lead role apart from a few others. The platform hasn’t revealed the full cast.
The film will release on Disney+Hotstar on June 17 and then only we will know if it can offer something truly worth it.
