Star Wars fans have some good news and bad news. “Obi-Wan Kenobi” which was planned to premier on 25th May will be delayed two days and hit Disney+ on 27th May. But they will air back-to-back two episodes in 27th May. In an official announcement made by Ewan McGregor, (yes Obi Wan Kenobi himself) they revealed the changes. They know fans won’t like it if they just delayed the premier and they came up with a pretty good plan.
Obi-Wan Kenobi was decided to drop on the 45th anniversary of the original Star Wars New Hope which Obi-Wan Kenobi made his debut. The show will consist of six episodes. It is set 10 years after the revenge of sith and years before A New Hope. This is an era after all the Jedi order has been wiped out.
The series is directed by Deborah Chow. The cast includes many old faces of the franchise and also introduces fresh faces to the series. Along with Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan Kenobi, Hayden Christensen will also return to the franchise as Vader. The show has a stellar cast with Rupert Friend, Kumail Nanijani, Indira Varma, Joel Edgerton playing the major roles.
Even though the show has delayed the premier, makers of Obi-Wan Kenobi didn’t disappoint the fans. Now they can watch the first two episodes on 27th May 2022.
