MindRiot Entertainment will soon commence working on the feature adaptation of the tragic Oceangate Titan Submersible disaster. Some days ago, the studio also locked a documentary series based on the tragic submersible incident, titled ‘Salvaged’.
Jonathan Keasey and Justin MacGregor from Mindriot will co-write the upcoming movie. The film will explore periods before, during, and after the horrifying tragedy, which ended up taking five lives.
“The Titan Tragedy is yet another example of a misinformed and quick-to-pounce system, in this case, our nonstop, 24-7 media cycle that convicts and ruins the lives of so many people without any due process,” said Keasey, one of the film’s writers.
On June 18, the Oceangate’s Titan submersible vanished, forcing both Canada and the United States to search for the submersible. Titan’s wreckage was discovered on June 22.
Prominent producer E. Brian Dobbins has been roped in to produce the film adaptation of the Oceangate’s Titan incident. Dobbins is best known for creating shows like Black-ish and Grown-ish. He also co-produced the latest comedy slasher film, The Blackening, helmed by Tim Story. It was a moderate box office success, earning $17 million against its $5 million budget.
