Official! ‘My Dear Bootham’ to Stream on This Platform!

Tamil language fantasy comedy ‘My Dear Bootham‘ hit the theatres yesterday. The film stars Prabhu Deva, Ramya Nambeesan and Master Ashwanth in lead roles. Yet another variant of the Aladdin story, My Dear Bootham is an out and out kids movie. Zee5 has acquired the streaming rights of the film. However, an official announcement on the same is yet to be made.

The film follows Thiru, a school kid who also happens to be having stammering issues as he stumbles across a statue one fine day. This frees Karkimuki, a genie trapped inside it. Karkimuki befriends Thiru and turns things around for him at school that includes classmates who are bullies and insensitive teachers. But will Karkimuki cure Thiru of his stammer? This forms the rest of the plot. The film is not really well received by the critics and audience mainly because of its decades old story telling and amateurish late 90s visual effects.

My Dear Bootham is written and directed by N Ragavan and produced by Ramesh P. Imman Annachi, Suresh Menon, Samyuktha Shanmughanathan, Master Sathwik, Master Param Guganesh, and Swaminathan join Prabhu Deva and Master Ashwath in this fantasy comedy. D. Imman composed the music of the film while cinematography and editing are performed by U.K. Senthil Kumar and San Lokesh respectively. Stay tuned for more updates on Zee5 streaming of the film.
