After much deliberation, the makers of Pawan Kalyan and Rana‘s Bheemla Nayak have finally announced the film’s theatrical release date. The latest announcement from the makers of the action drama confirms that the film will be arriving in theatres on the 25th of this month. “25 – 02 – 2022!! The date is set for the POWER STORM to hit the screens” the latest tweet from Sithara Entertainments’ Twitter handle reads.
The makers have also unveiled a new poster to publicize the new theatrical date. Well, this surprise announcement is leaving Pawan’s fans on cloud nine. Many of Pawan Kalyan‘s fans came to a conclusion that Bheemla Nayak’s release has been pushed from February to April 1, given the fact that the government of Andhra Pradesh is yet to permit ticket price hikes and the 50% occupancy regulation is still in effect at cinema halls across the state. But the makers of Bheemla Nayak have thrown a pleasant surprise by announcing that the film will arrive in theatres on the 25th of this month, despite the logistical hurdles.
Now, Bheemla Nayak will be releasing on the same day as Ajith Kumar‘s Valimai, which is also releasing on the 25th of February. There won’t be a direct clash between these two films though. Valimai is strong in the Telugu market while Bheemla Nayak caters to the Telugu audience.
Bheemla Nayak is the Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum and it has Pawan Kalyan, Rana, Samyuktha Menon, and Nithya Menon in the lead roles. The film is directed by Saagar K Chandra while Trivikram penned the screenplay and dialogues. Bheemla Nayak will be the first mainstream Telugu biggie featuring a top star to release in theatres post the Covid third wave.
