Oh, no! Andrew Garfield Replaced In Frankenstein

The Amazing Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield has officially dropped out of Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein project for Netflix. The role of Frankenstein, which was supposedly taken by Andrew Garfield, has now been assumed by the Saltburn actor Jacob Elordi. It has been reported that Garfield has left the project due to scheduling conflicts, which arose due to strike-related production postponements.

The cast also includes Christian Convery, Lars Mikkelsen, and David Bradley. It is also said that Christoph Waltz and Felix Kammerer will soon join the project cast. The project still continues Netflix’s partnership with Guillermo del Toro, who will closely be working with frequent collaborator J. Miles Dale. This duo has previously worked on Netflix’s ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’.

This adaption of Frankenstein will be the latest after the 2015’s adaption Victor Frankenstein, which then turned out to be a box office failure. Based on the novel by Mary Shelley, this movie will again portray the story of Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist who creates a ‘monster’ in the most filmy way possible – using body parts of deceased humans.

It is a golden chance for Elordi, who has been delivering successful performances in recent times, right from Priscilla to Saltburn. Checking on this cast replacement, fans can infer that for this time, ‘The Social Network’ actor is not “coming back for everything.”
