Olivia Newman To Direct Apple TV+’s ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’

In a latest development Apple TV+ has roped in Olivia Newman (‘First Match’) to direct and executive produce it’s upcoming limited series ‘The last Thing He Told Me’. Based on Laura Dave’s best-selling eponymous novel, ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ is created and adapted by Dave in association with Academy Award winner Josh Singer (‘Spotlight’).

‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ follows the story of Hannah (Jennifer Garner) a woman who forms an unexpected relationship with her sixteen year-old stepdaughter while searching for the truth about why her husband has mysteriously disappeared.

Apart from Jennifer Garner, who replaced Julia Roberts, ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ also stars Angourie Rice (‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, ‘Mare of Easttown’).

Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine had optioned the book from Dave and are producing ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ for Apple TV+. The executive producers for the limited series are Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine, Laura Dave and Josh Singer.

‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ is the second collaboration for Olivia Newman and Hello Sunshine. They are currently working on the highly anticipated upcoming film ‘Where The Crawdads Sing’ that is based on Delia Owens’ bestselling book.
