The wait is over now. The release date for the much anticipated sequel to ‘OMG: Oh My God‘ is announced now. ‘OMG 2’ will hit the theaters on the 11th of August this year.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’ too will be releasing on 11th August itself. And as per reports Gadar 2 will have the same release date. It will be a huge clash and ‘OMG 2’ will have to compete with these films at the box office.
A poster has been released by the actor Akshay Kumar and it features him in the look of Shiv ji. Previously, in OMG, Akshay Kumar played the role of Shri Krishna. It is possible that he will play Shiv ji in this one. There is ash on his forehead, damru in one hand and rudraksh in the neck, with long locks coming down from both sides. There is a possibility of some controversy regarding this look too. As Shiv ji here is wearing a Pajama. Religious sentiments are very easily hurt in India and with the slightest carelessness, there can be a huge havoc in the mass. Hopefully the makers have kept that in mind.
OMG: Oh My God was a huge success and there are chances of OMG being a bigger one. Actor Pankaj Tripathi has been roped in for a new role. Arun Govil will play Lord Rama and Yami Gautam will be seen in a pivotal role as well. Arun Govil playing Rama will be one of the USPs for the film and a lot of fans will return to see him.
Watch OMG 2 in the theaters on 11th August and onwards.
