We often rave about how a film becomes a huge Blockbuster. We talk about new records, big money, etc but rarely about how one film failed. It might be painful for the producers but it is highly important for the industry to recognise how failure strikes. One such recent film that can be a fantastic example of the same is “Ganapath: A Hero is Born”. The movie starring Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, Amitabh Bachchan, Elli AvRam, and Rahman in the lead is a dystopian action film.
Sadly, the movie was bad. It was bad to the extent that it became unbearable. What was the result? A massive failure at the box office.
At a humongous budget of ₹190 crores, the movie failed to cross even 1/10th of its budget. Startling isn’t it?
Normally, a Hindi movie takes about 8 weeks to release on OTT after its theatrical run. But, Ganapath is nowhere near its OTT even after 7 months. So what went wrong?
Well, no OTT platform should ideally be interested in buying a movie of such a massacred box office. The movie was telecasted on Sony Max and now there is a high possibility that Netflix may stream it soon. Stay tuned to Binged for the confirmed update.
