One Piece Film In Indian Theatres, Another Hit After Jujutsu Kaisen 0?

One Piece Film: Red’ will now release in Indian cinemas in Hindi. The film will be shown in 2D but there are both 2D and 3D VFX in the animated movie which is the adaptation of the Manga of the same name. One Piece Film: Red will be the fifteenth film of the series.

If you remember our article covering the theatre release of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’, you must know how well it was accepted all over India. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was released in the original language with English subtitles in around 200 cities. Even non-metro cities like Patna too witnessed a historic success with housefull theatres for a Japanese language movie. There was no colossal fan-fest or promotional event, but the film was accepted with love.

There is a huge anime fan base in India consisting primarily of youngsters. And that is increasing day by day, the success of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 ensures that. It brings hope for anime fans because more anime movies will now be released in India. Makoto Shinkai’s next movie Suzume No Tojimari is another anticipated movie.

Gorō Taniguchi directed ‘One Piece Film: Red’ that was released in Japan this year and became the highest grosser of 2022. He has previously directed the 1998 ‘One Piece: Defeat The Pirate Ganzak!’ which was the first animated adaptation of the anime `One Piece’, originally illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. The anime market in India is booming now and with finally a movie releasing in Hindi, there are chances of better success than the previous hit Jujutsu Kaisen. Again PVR pictures will be taking the film to Indian theatres. More and more audiences will be attracted to the genre as the language barrier will he diminished this time.
