Well, you must remember the drama around Oppenheimer as Christopher Nolan was advocating for physical CDs instead of any streaming platform. Well, it was all justifiable as films keep on hopping from one platform to another in multiple instances. Take the case of Top Gun Maverick, initially, it was streaming on Prime Video but it has hopped to Netflix India now.
But, the sale of physical CDs is not really possible and feasible a lot of times. Consider the case of India, would people be interested in purchasing physical disks in 2024 when we hardly own any DVD player? Also, piracy is easy and free.

Well, other than 21st July 2023, Oppenheimer and Barbie share the same OTT platform in India. It will be released on the same platform where Barbie is streaming i.e. JioCinema.
