Two-time Academy and Golden Globe awardee Hilary Swank shot to fame for her role in Christopher Cain’s 1994 ‘The Next Karate Kid’. Although the film was not exactly a box-office hit, it proved to be Swank’s big break.
She was most recently seen in ‘Ordinary Angels’, released earlier this year. The heartfelt drama based on a moving real-life story, also starring Alan Ritchson, revolves around a struggling hairdresser in Kentucky, who miraculously finds a rejuvenated sense of purpose when she meets a hardworking widowed father working hard.
His only aim: to care for his two daughters. With his youngest critically ill and desperately awaiting a liver transplant, the fierce woman single-handedly rallies and garners the support and help of an entire community. Good news for fans!

The film grossed $20 million worldwide off of a $13 million production budget and has been very well-received by critics and audiences alike. While Ritchson was most recently seen in Guy Ritchie’s ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’, the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ star has an exciting upcoming slate as well.
He is expected to be seen in Season 3 of Prime Video’s highly acclaimed show, ‘Reacher’, in which he stars as the titular character. Swank on the other hand will next be seen in Greg Kwedar’s action thriller ‘N.A.R’.
