The co-creator and executive producer of Disney’s Phineas and Ferb series, Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, is officially joining the revival of the series.
Disney announced back in January that the fan-favourite animated show was returning with a total of 40 episodes. The show’s co-creator, Dan Povenmire, is leading the proceedings. And Marsh will serve as the revival’s executive producer and voice director for the episodes.
Phineas and Ferb first premiered on Disney Channel in 2008. After four years, the series got shifted to Disney XD with a new batch of episodes. It ran until 2015.
The show primarily focuses on stepbrothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher and their adventures. They reside in the fictional city of Danville with their parents and older sister, Candice, who is obsessed with exposing Phineas and Ferb’s ideas and schemes and winning the heart of her crush, Jeremy. Meanwhile, we have Platypus Perry, a secret agent who works for a top-secret animal organisation. He is assigned to monitor Dr Heinz Doofenshmirtz’s evil plans and stop him from accomplishing them.
It is unclear where the Phineas and Ferb revival episodes will air. But it is safe to say that all shows under Disney Branded Television are available on Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney+, and Disney Junior. So, we should expect the series to premiere on these platforms. Stay tuned for more updates.
