The star cast for the prequel has now been announced. Patrick Gibson, Christian Slater, Molly Brown will be playing the lead roles.
The show has been titled ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ and it will have a total of 10 episodes. The story will follow the backstory of Dexter from 15 years before the original series. It will chronicle his rise as a serial killer from an unassuming student. ‘Dexter’ tells the story of Dexter Morgan, a forensic expert of the police department who has homicidal tendencies. Morgan lives a double life and he solves crimes by the day and commits them by the night. Killing people is his hobby and he hides his crimes with masterful techniques. The show has gathered huge appreciation from critics and audiences. The role of Dexter was played by Michael C. Hall at that time.
Gibson will be playing the titular role. He has previously starred in projects like Good Girl Jane, Tolkien, The OA, Shadow and Bone etc. Christian Slater will be playing Dexter’s adoptive father and Molly Brown will be his sister.
