Pankaj Tripathi’s next film is going to be a biographical drama on the life of former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The film titled as ‘Atal’ is helmed by national award winning filmmaker Ravi Jadhav (‘Natarang’, ‘Timepass’, ‘Nude’).
‘Atal’ will carry on the patriotic theme through one of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s iconic lines “Main Rahun Ya Na Rahun, Ye Desh Rehna Chahiye” (“I am there or not, this nation should be there”). As per director Ravi Jadhav, the film will bring to screen the story of a visionary, an exemplary leader and a humane politician.
Pankaj Tripathi is well known for his versatile and impactful acting style and has proved his mettle in both films and series. Some of his credits include ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Newton’, ‘Stree’, ‘Ludo’, ‘Mimi’, ‘Mirzapur’, ‘Sacred Games’ and many more. His upcoming project includes Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2 – Oh My God! 2’.
Written by Utkarsh Naithani, ‘Atal’ will be produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Sandeep Singh, Sam Khan and Kamlesh Bhanushali in association with 70MM Talkies. ‘Atal’ is co-produced by Zeeshan Ahmed and Shivv Sharma and will begin filming soon.
