The trailer for Parachute, an independent love drama that marks actress Brittany Snow’s feature directorial debut, has been released by Vertical. A year ago, this had its world premiere at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival, previously, it was also screened at other various film festivals. In Parachute, directed by Brittany Snow, Riley and Ethan manage the burgeoning love, friendship, and intimacy while attempting to overcome explosive personal challenges. Riley, the main female protagonist in the movie, struggled with eating disorders and body image before getting out of rehab. After meeting Ethan, Riley must decide whether to pursue a new addiction or love.
With Francesca Reale, Gina Rodriguez, Joel McHale, Dave Bautista, Scott Mescudi, and Courtney Eaton as Riley and Ethan, the movie’s cast is pretty interesting. This film has the appearance and feel of the very acclaimed film Crazy, which centers on two ardent lovers who try to work things out by mutual assistance.
Riley (Courtney Eaton), a lively and charming young lady in Parachute, battles an eating disorder and problems with her body image. Thomas Mann plays Ethan, a musician in his late 20s who was previously quite promising. Well as they meet, they “click.” Riley’s imperfections are equal to perfection to Ethan’s, and he wants to help Riley see herself the way he does. Riley is head over heels for Ethan and finds great inspiration in his generosity and brilliance. Their love for one another and their volatile personal problems are balanced in their relationship.
American actress and filmmaker Brittany Snow, who had previously helmed one short film, is directing her first feature picture, Parachute. Brittany Snow and Becca Gleason wrote the screenplay. Produced by Lizzie Shapiro, Jordan Beckerman, and Jordan Yale Levine. This had its world premiere last year at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival. Coming soon, Vertical will open Snow’s Parachute in a few US cinemas on April 5, 2024.
