The novel tells the story of Addie, who, while working as an on-site caretaker for a rich boy’s French villa, meets another rich Oxford boy named Dylan. The two fall in love but soon their relationship ends. They stay out of touch for a long time and then again, their paths cross. Before Dylan’s friend’s wedding, they all go to Scotland to attend the party and Dylan’s car breaks down. He, his friend, Addie with her sister and a random guy from Facebook all have to squeeze into one little car. As the trip goes on, many secrets reveal and Addie and Dylan’s relationship as exes gets new dimensions.

It will be a humorous show with many comedic moments. Beth O’Leary’s novels are famous all over the world and some of them are even bestsellers. A romantic comedy like ‘The Road Trip’ has all chances of being a big success on the platform. The release dates of the show are not announced yet. Last year, Beth O’Leary’s The Flatshare was also greenlit by Paramount and it was produced by Trip indie 42, which is also producing The Road Trip.
