Paramount Is Casting This Spiderman Actor For Danny Phantom Live Action

The era of live action is far from over, and if you count the nostalgia factor in, this form of filmmaking is definitely one of the most profitable ones. The fanbase is already strong for such cases, and that is reflected in the numbers. This time, Paramount is working on the live action adaptation of Danny Phantom, and we do have an update.

Who will lead the adaptation?

Butch Hartman previously stated that he wanted Tom Holland to play the role of Danny, and as the recent updates state, Paramount Studio wants the same for the upcoming project. Some inside sources confirm the update, stating that the studio has already approached the Spider-Man actor.

But, there is a big “IF.”

Though the fans undoubtedly back the actor, they think he isn’t the best choice. When he was cast for Captain America: Civil War, Holland had that childlike innocence, being just 18. But now, the 27-year-old actor is practically too aged to play the role of a 14-year-old kid.

If it were a Disney film or the cast of Euphoria, it would have been fine, but as Paramount is working on a fresh project, they can certainly make a plethora of experiments. Aidan Gallagher would have been a good choice a couple of years back; he has that wit.

But, this can definitely be an open canvas for experimentation, and appointing such a big and established name will definitely draw a crowd. However, this doesn’t look like the most intelligent of ideas.
