Paresh Rawal In ‘Posto’ Remake, Know What Changes Are Made!

It has been long in news that Bengali filmmaker duo Nandita and Shiboprosad are going to make their Bollywood debut soon. They had been planning to remake their hit film ‘Posto’ in Bollywood and the working title of the film is ‘Shastry Virudh Shastry’.

‘Posto’, the original Bengali film told the story of a young boy named Posto and the rift between his parents and grandparents regarding his custody. The film was a emotional ride that will make you go nostalgic at moments and will make you angry too. Jisshu Sengupta and Mimi Chakroborty played the roles of the parents and Veteran actor Soumitra Chattopadhyay played the grandfather.

It is said that Mimi will be reprising the role of the mother but Jisshu Sengupta will be replaced by Shiv Pandit. It is unfair but it is not happening fir the first time. Even After being a known face in Bollywood and working on so many films like ‘Barfi’, ‘Manikarnika’ or ‘Mardaani’ Jisshu Sengupta is ignored in the Hindi film industry. Despite his acting prowess, he is again replaced by some other actor.

There will be slight changes to the script like the family will be from Mumbai this time. Paresh Rawal will be playing the role of the grandfather. There are rumours that Naseeruddin Shah will have a strong role in the remake. There will be other actors like Neena Kulkarni, Amruta Subhash and Manoj Joshi in the film.

Posto had quite good response from audiences and hopefully Shastry Viruddh Shastry too will be able to impress the Bollywood audience.
