Parineeti Chopra’s ‘Saina’ Changes Route! Will Arrive In Theatres On This Date!

‘Saina’ has become one of the most awaited biopics from Bollywood in the recent time. The movie has gone through its fair share of obstacles over the course of its shooting and now, it is finally the time when we’ll be seeing it. Last month, rumours were floating about the release of the movie. It was being reported that ‘Saina’ is eyeing the OTT route and might be skipping theatres. But in the recent development, the makers have changed their decision and will be bringing the movie theatrically!

Saina which is based on the life of Badminton player Saina Nehwal was earlier announced with Shraddha Kapoor but after her departure from the movie, Parineeti was roped in. The movie was eyeing a direct release on Amazon Prime Video but the makers have decided to go against it. And it definitely seems the wise decision seeing that the cinema halls are back to full availability resulting in several announcements from filmmakers. Also the fact that the movie is based on a well known sports icon of India, it should definitely arrive in the big screens.

Bhushan Kumar who is the producer of the movie is changing their strategy since the theatres are back into functioning. Recently his gangster drama Mumbai Saga’s trailer was launched. Mumbai Saga too was all set to arrive on OTT, but instead now will arrive in theatres on March 19th.

Reports suggest that the makers were eyeing two dates for the movie and it was a tussle between March 26th or April 9th. The makers have apparently decided to go ahead with March 26th 2021. Parineeti Chopra’s OTT debut was with Netflix’s ‘The Girl On The Train’. The movie is getting mixed reviews from critics as well as the audience but her performance is being praised by many.

It will surely be interesting to see if the makers actually announce the release date of 26th March. We say that because, Parineeti’s another movie ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ with Arjun Kapoor will be arriving 1 week before ‘Saina’ – 19th March 2021. No official announcement has been made as of yet but let’s wait for it.
