Part 3 of Bollywood’s Biggest Cop Franchise To Go On Floors Soon

Actor Ajay Devgn has his hands full! Between ‘Maidaan’, ‘Mayday’, ‘Thank God’, ‘Golmaal 5’ and the Bollywood remake of Tamil hit ‘Kaithi’, the actor’s plate is full, but amidst this comes another big update. The script of Bollywood’s biggest cop franchise, Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham 3’ has been locked and the film is expected to go on floors early next year. Director Rohit Shetty cleverly capitalized on the success of the ‘Singham’ movies and followed them up with ‘Simmba’ featuring Ranveer Singh and the yet to be released ‘Sooryavanshi’ featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead.

However, the latest buzz is that the ‘Singham’ series is back with the third installment, ready to take the story forward. According to reports, the story of ‘Singham 3’ will take off from where ‘Sooryavanshi’ ends. Apparently, Ajay Devgn will reprise his role as the daring cop and take on the main villain from the Akshay Kumar starrer. It is also said that actors Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh will have cameos in the new ‘Singham’ movie as well.

“The climax of Sooryavanshi will lead to Singham 3 with Ajay Devgn taking over the charge from Veer Sooryavanshi. The entire film is about Akshay’s character racing against time to stop terror attacks in Mumbai, and they successfully stop the same in the climax of the film by capturing the negative leads, only to discover that it’s not game over yet and the actual mastermind of the attack is still hiding safely at his whereabouts. And the actual master mind is none other than Jackie Shroff, who will continue to be a part of the universe as the negative lead of Singham 3,” said a source to a prominent media publication.

Director Rohit Shetty is currently busy with the Ranveer Singh led ‘Cirkus’, that also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde, post which he has his heart set on ‘Golmaal 5’ that is set to begin towards the end of the year, so the director too has his hands full at the moment. However, the dilemma is that the ace director doesn’t want much of a gap between the release of ‘Singham 3’ and ‘Sooryavanshi’, since the story operates in continuity. It will indeed be interesting to see how all is managed, but regardless, fans are surely in a for a treat as their favourite cop is back!
