We, at Binged.com, had informed you earlier that AltBalaji is coming up with its new web series, Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu, based on the life story of a dreaded Mumbai gangster. We had also revealed that handsome TV actor Parth Samthaan is likely to play the lead in it.
Well, now Alt Balaji has eliminated all doubts relating to the aforementioned web series and its lead actor. The streaming platform has released a minute-long teaser of the upcoming web show on all its social media accounts.
The teaser, for all practical purposes, has been released with only one aim in mind – to introduce Parth Samthaan as the lead of Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu.
Parth Samthaan has established himself in the minds of audiences as the typical Mr Goody Two Shoes hero. His popular series Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan, and his current role of Anurag Basu in his show on TV, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, have entrenched an image of Parth as the handsome boy-next-door in the hearts of his fans, most of which are predominantly females of all ages and demographics.
Casting him as a hard-core gangster was a mighty risk, but trust Ekta Kapoor to go where no one dares to have gone before. Looks like her risk will finally be worth all the effort. Parth simply looks stunning as the dare-devil gangster who doesn’t care a damn for the law or for anyone in the world but himself.
Whether it is lighting up a cigarette nonchalantly, or setting fire to some unfortunate soul’s premises, or even threatening his detractors on the phone, Parth can be seen doing it all in the teaser, with a confident swagger and icy precision.
Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu is purportedly a contemporary take on the dreaded Mumbai gangster of the nineties, Abu Salem, where Parth plays the character of Salem. Though there is no confirmation from Alt Balaji on the same, online media is abuzz with speculations on the similarities between Abu Salem and Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu.
