Pascal’s Veppam Kulir Mazhai Soon on Screens?

The assistant director, who was behind famous Tamil films like Magalir Mattum (2017) and Suzhal (2022), is all set to make his directorial debut with ‘Veppam Kulir Mazhai.’ Pascal Vedamuthu’s upcoming social drama will feature fresh talents, both on and behind screens.

Starring Dhirav and Ismath Bhanu in pivotal roles, with a vital role played by MS Bhaskar, the film portrays one of the delicate issues prevailing in the society: the societal expectations on married couples surrounding childbirth. Dhirav initially joined the project as a producer but later expressed his desire in taking on the lead role.

As stated by director Pascal, the film also examines if societal pressures on childless couples stem from psychological, economic, or other factors. ‘Veppam Kulir Mazhai’ aims to raise awareness about the psychological challenges faced by those unable to conceive and their impact on their lives.

The technical crew of the film includes music director Shankar Rangarajan, cinematographer Prithvi Rajendran, and actor Dhirav handling editing and lyrics. The film is mostly set in Pascal’s hometown, Maaviduthukotai, Sivagangai, to authentically depict the local community in his directorial debut.

Having done and dusted with post-production, ‘Veppam Kulir Mazhai’, backed by Hashtag FDFS Productions, is anticipating a theatrical release by the end of February or in the first week of March. Stay tuned to Binged to get yourself updated with the latest information on ‘Veppam Kulir Mazhai.’
