Pawan Kalyan’s Poor Plan May Kill Telugu Cinemas!

North Indian theatres are not in good condition. The major reason behind it is the fact that they are in too good condition.

Quite an oxymoron but yeah. North India has almost eliminated the concept of single screens. The Hindi belt as a result is forced to go to the multiplexes that are often luxurious. Moreover, they end up paying ticket prices that are usually three or four times more than what a cinemagoer from Andhra Pradesh would pay.

And sadly, common people never asked for it. The multiplexes are usually in big malls where parking charges range from 20 to 50₹ depending upon your vehicle.

Then ticket prices are nowhere less than 250 for the important big-budget films. If you are going to book through BookMyShow then there are significant additional charges.

Even in ideal conditions, a movie watching tour without snacks, without water would cost a minimum of 300₹.

Now, let’s take the extreme scenario. In a metropolis, you opted for a big budget film in a luxury theatre. If you wish to spend more then you can go for recliner seats and all those things combined can cost you around 1500 to 2000₹ per ticket.

While some people definitely have the resources to watch movies at such a price, some people simply can’t imagine.

This is the ticket price that Pawan Kalyan wants to bring to the Telugu belt. The condition to single screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are just not worth it. Even if it were, the culture of paying ₹100 per ticket would never accept such insanely high prices.

Thanks to Ashvini Dutt, he refused this poor plan. Otherwise, this north Indian plague would have certainly killed the Telugu cinema culture.
