Peacock is offering nearly two thirds (13,000 hours) of its 20,000 hours catalog on free tier and 20,000 hours on subscription level. In addition to this, you will have greater access to their library if you pay. The premium subscription will cost you $5 a month with ads and an ad free version will cost $10 a month. Before opting for the paid versions, Peacock will also offer you a standard 7 days free trial period.
Free and subscription version will feature present NBC shows. For free, it will be available a week after it has aired and for premium, it will be available the next day. Today, 15th July, is Peacock’s launch date and nine original shows and movies will be available at launch with new content joining at a later date.
Here are a few titles on their content slate:
Free tier – Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park III, This Is Us, The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, Suits, Murder She Wrote, Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, among others.
Premium tier – Brave New World, The Capture, Two and a Half Men, Law & Order, House, Shrek, America’s Got Talent, Little Late with Lilly Singh, Saturday Night Live, Superstore, Law & Order: SVU, Days of Our Lives. Both the tiers will also have sports content.

Comcast has already announced it’s availability on Apple’s IOS, iPad and Apple TV devices, Android TV, Google’s Android, and Microsoft Xbox One.
None of Peacock’s direct competitors offer free tiers. They only offer free trial periods – seven or thirty days depending on the platform. This new entry to OTT is definitely going to be a game changer!
