Pedro Pascal Cast In ‘Barbarian’ Director’s Next Horror Movie

After struggling for almost twenty years in the industry, ‘The Last of Us’ star Pedro Pascal’s acting career is on a roll now. While he is still basking in the glory of HBO’s widely acclaimed video game to small screen series adaptation ‘The Last of Us’, the actor was recently roped in for Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated ‘Gladiator’ sequel also. But that’s not all.

The dashing Chilean American actor will now star in a movie by Zach Cregger, the man behind last year’s superhit horror flick ‘Barbarian’ (which is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar in case you still haven’t seen it). The Pedro Pascal – Zach Cregger collaboration is going to be a horror movie titled ‘Weapons’ – written, produced, and directed by Zach Cregger himself.

As of now, neither the precise plot is known nor the role which Pedro Pascal will be playing in ‘Weapons’ has been confirmed. The movie is being described as an interrelated, multi-story horror epic which will bear tonal resemblance with Paul Thomas Anderson’s star-studded 1999 epic film ‘Magnolia’. The filming schedule for ‘Weapons’ is expected to commence sometime after September later this year.

The hotly in-demand actor Pedro Pascal shot to fame through his role in the globally acclaimed ‘Game of Thrones’ series and as a relentless DEA agent in the superhit Netflix series ‘Narcos’. Later, he went on to star in ‘The Mandalorian’ series and in some films like ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’, ‘The Equalizer 2’, and ‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’.

Pedro Pascal will next be seen in a western short film titled ‘Strange Way of Life’ co-starring Ethan Hawke, Ethan Coen’s road-movie ‘Drive-Away Dolls’, and in HBO’s upcoming true crime limited series ‘My Dentist’s Murder Trial’ co-starring David Harbour.
