As the release date for ‘Tekka’ is releasing, the doubts for the movie are more intensifying. The teaser for the film will be released tomorrow but there is already enough tension regarding its success and public acceptance. The reason is the leading role of the movie is played by Dev a.k.a Deepak Adhikary who is also a member of parliament for the ruling party that is being subjected to huge protests nowadays.
Swastika Mukherjee is doing an important role in the movie and she has been regularly involved with the protest but still, netizens demand of her that she should stop promoting her film. Their objection is, when a serious and long protest is being held by so large a number and it is attracting international sensation as well, People should refrain from doing movie promotions and other trivial stuff. But Swastika Mukherjee has replied by saying that this is her job and if she is asked to stop doing her job, people should urge others to do the same as well. She has said that she would be present throughout the course of the protest and will not refrain from Promoting her movie as well as she does not think that these two are in any way conflicting ethically or morally.
Srijit Mukherjee, the director behind the movie, too is subjected to the same complaints and has been asked to stop promoting a film that has a party member of the ruling party. But the filmmaker has responded in a similar way and said that his job is to make films and promote them and of people do not like the idea they are welcome to not watch the film.
